Caroline Myss, Ph.D., Anatomy of the Spirit

This book was my first experience with Caroline Myss, and what an amazing book to begin with. Ms. Myss is a very skilled medical intuitive and specialist in energy medicine, who also happens to be a fabulous writer. Here she discusses: energy medicine and intuition; the similarities of the Christian Sacraments, the Hindu Chakras, and the Kabbalah’s Tree of Life, and how combined they provide the seven stages of power that each of us must experience on our path to higher consciousness. She delves deeply into the 7 main energy centers (Chakras) of the body, and explains how each one, (but especially the bottom 3), effect our health – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There is no extra fluff in this book, every word seems to be carefully chosen and absolutely relevant to the ideas she is trying to convey. Difficult to have it all sink in on the first read, you will find yourself referring to this text often, and will probably learn new things each time as you begin to see the words between the words, so to speak.
