Intent

sanctuary

1. a sacred or holy place.

2. any place of refuge or asylum.

The purpose for this site is to explore the many different ways in which people create sanctuary in their everyday lives. Not necessarily with regards to any religious framework, more in the way of how one deepens their connection to self, their environment, or to their higher power. Certain locations can help one find sanctuary. It can be fostered through meditation; through music; through dance and movement; through art and literature; through energy and body work; through certain rituals one maintains; through working with the earth; through volunteerism, and the list goes on.

Our focus will be to traverse the gap between lay person and professional health care practitioner, while working with the same goal in mind of building sanctuary for ourselves, or for the clients we serve.

Travel logs of places visited both in nature, or establishment will be posted. Reviews of relevant books, music and other publications will be reviewed. Recipes both for eating and for specialty body treatments will be shared. Essential oils and the use of herbs and raw ingredients will be discussed. Professional products and equipment will be examined. Resources will be noted. Comments for the reflexologist and the body worker will be offered. Treatment protocols will be considered.

The wider our vision becomes the more we will be able to offer you - the more you will be able to share with us as well. We look forward to a long symbiotic relationship! Thanks for visiting.

Warm Wishes,

Donna
